Taylor Hicks: Watch it

Tuesday
The City of Hoover will hold its last weekly viewing party at Buffalo Wild Wings (as seen above), along Alabama 150 in the Wal-Mart shopping center. The party starts at 6 p.m.; admission is free. [map]
Wednesday
The BJCC Arena will hold its (almost annual) finale viewing party. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. Concessions will be available. No official word yet on who will be the on-air host, but you can be a part of the audience shown live on “Idol.” Admission is free. [map]
Update: You must be in the door by 6 p.m. — live TV is funny that way — or no admittance.
WorkPlay in Lakeview is holding a viewing party, plus a concert with Hicks’ band, the Little Memphis Blues Orchestra at 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 (plus $2.50 service charge). All proceeds go to Hicks’ selected charity, Studio by the Tracks, a nonprofit organization in Irondale that provides art classes for special-needs adults and children. The party takes place at 500 23rd St. S.

I dearly LOVE Taylor. I am 63 years old and really Dig him. I would like to be able to follow his career very closely all the way’ Do not let him dye his hair.!!!!!! It is a part of him that makes him Taylor Hicks! He is Unique!!!!! Yours truly, Judy Reno, SOUL PATROL!!!!!
