10 reasons to volunteer on the Gulf Coast

- Birmingham loves Biloxi and New Orleans. We’ve always kept our Gulf Coast neighbors close to our hearts.
- You want to help, but don’t know how. Just sign up. We take care of the rest.
- You don’t need much. Clothes, sleeping bag, spending money. That’s it.
- It won’t cost that much. About $120 to $200 for a full week (includes transportation, meals and housing).
- You work hard. Rebuilding a city isn’t easy, but we’ll show you how to do it.
- You play hard. At day’s end, relax, go out, have fun. It’s up to you.
- It’s fun. A half million volunteers agree, so don’t miss out.
- It’s empowering. After this week, you’ll know there’s nothing you can’t do.
- They need you. It’s up to volunteers to help residents still waiting 2 years after Katrina.
- We need you. Show them that Birmingham hasn’t forgotten them.
