Birmingham ranks as No. 6 on the nation’s most dangerous cities list, in part based on the FBI’s crime statistics report. That top ranking has dogged the metro area in 2006 and 2007, a year that saw 93 homicides.
With a new mayor and a new police chief in place for 2008, can we finally contain the violence?
