Living in the past: Midterm ejections
By Wade Kwon
Thirty days hath November, with some posts to remember. All the rest are OK, too, but these are ones worth review.
- For those who like poetry, 1,717 syllables of reading enjoyment. (Yes, we counted.)
- While the question remains of how (or even if) City Stages will retire its debt, it seems everyone and their mother has an opinion on the troubled music festival. What’s yours?
- Karlyn Harris and Lyn Turk, two single moms from the Birmingham area, have sped through more than a dozen countries and outlasted eight other teams on “The Amazing Race.” If they can last two more legs and outrun three more teams, they’ll win $1 million. This month, the pair traveled to Finland, Madagascar, Morocco and Ukraine. How are you not watching this show?
- As part of our Vote 2006 coverage, we rounded up the best political reports in the media and in blogs. You did vote, right?
- Yeah, we’re still shocked at the surprise shifts at another city festival, as director Erik Jambor stepped down at Sidewalk. Whoever’s next has big, big shoes to fill.
- Highlights of my other blog, Wade Kwon.com, because it features some of my best writing to date, my week working in New Orleans.
