Update Nov. 9: Voter turnout statewide was 38.5 percent, the worst showing in 36 years. Jefferson County had a 41.1 percent turnout, while Shelby County had a 41.8 percent turnout.

Statewide turnout in previous midterms was 49.8 percent in 2018, 41 percent in 2014 and 57.5 percent in 2010.
