Gone Hollywood, part 2

By

My first film, “The Last Fish,” premiered Friday night at the Carver Theatre. As you may know,
I spent 36 hours making it for the latest Sidewalk Scramble competition.

Did it win? Nope.

That’s OK. I’m still proud of my effort. And it did make festival history (watch the movie for a hint).

Check it out, then see what the jurors had to say after the jump.

‘The Last Fish’

“Fishkind is doomed, thanks to aliens, but who’s next?”

Written Comments from Jurors:

  • I liked the crude cinematography, but overall I thought the idea was
    better than its execution.
  • Neither the visual ideas nor the dialog were particularly funny, and
even the narrator’s voice lacked any real character that would have
    given the presentation more punch.
  • Seems like more of a comedy than sci-fi.
  • No real point to story.
  • Cute comedy idea though.

I suggest they missed the part where it was filmed on a camera phone. Too bad they gave you no credit for being short either.
