Our pals Mike and Mandy over at Our Place have a fun contest under way: a weekly scavenger hunt.

The Birmingham Treasure Hunt provides the clues — you provide the legwork. Tell 'em what they can win, Mike and Mandy …
The treasure can be anything: cash, tickets to a movie, gift card for dinner, a hat, anything.
We are going to start small until we get a good group of people. Personally, I’d love to find an extra 10 or 20 bucks or a gift card. Wouldn’t you?
The inaugural treasure hunt is called “Lunch Is on Us.”
Three clues are already in play for this week, and to nudge you along, I’ve put together an interactive Wayfaring map. You can add notes, locations and, of course, the winning spot.
(Sorry, I don’t know where the treasure is …)

EchoBoomer found the first treasure, a $20 bill.
And Mike and Mandy have moved the site to birminghamtreasurehunt.com. The new hunt begins Saturday night, but … An NBC 13 crew will be on location at 10 a.m. Super Bowl Sunday to tape a segment to air that night. See the site for updates if you’d like to win a prize and be on the tee-vee.
