our schedules while skimming through
a jumble of texts. - the mythologization of normalcy
A grand adventure
awaits every small errand
or sip of coffee. - freak rain
Summertime is marked
with cloud bursts and steam baths at

Hallucinations
plague each and every sentence.
Everyone loves slop. - don’t ask me why
Every drunk must have
his drink. Don’t wait for answers.

Never calls, never
texts, never makes an effort

Why is it so hard

Many a journey
starts on a narrow strip of

Heart in agony. Time to

Shade or no shade, the
harsh penalty for being

It’s class warfare and
actual warfare. This is

That pan is not clean
enough. Wash it again and

We all deserve a
break, where we can shoot the breeze
with our work buddies. - who will run our town?
These mediocre
busybodies are on the
ballot. We decide. - no checks, just imbalances
A runaway prez
steamrolls over rule of law
and other branches. - unlocking the operating system
The users often
overlook nifty tricks and
time-saving shortcuts. - katrina remembered
Hurricane swamps the
levees. No help is coming.
Coastal city drowns. - flee circus
The good ol’ US
of A is no place for lone
outcasts much like me. - back yard beautification
An unyielding sun
showers me in heat as I
pull some nasty weeds. - all’s quiet on the labor front
Quiet quitting and
quiet cracking … I give up!
I’m going crazy!! - the missing food truck
Hungry workers stand
by as their lunch hour winds down.
Where are their tacos?! - the emptiest nest
Both son and daughter
have flown off to college. The
house seems abandoned. - stuck in a sling
Weeks go by. Can’t work,
can’t work out. Ready to be
out of this restraint. - an instant no
He doesn’t need a
minute to think it over —
it’s always easy. - afraid to date
She couldn’t believe
guys were asking her out. What

Taking good care of
this virtual family
