Friday-Sunday — Bluegrass bonanza. Horse Pens 40 hosts a weekend bluegrass festival. Performers include Broken Arrow, Dixie Breeze, Dick Nail and the Uplanders, Nic Creek, Battleground Bluegrass, Common Ground, Amen Corner, Robyn Lyle and Camp Meeting. About 40 miles from Birmingham. $30 three days, $10-$12 one day (camping extra).
